Artist's Bio
Nine years in the making, Enve has been through the trials of being a young band. They have struggled for shows, been through different members, endured disappointments and disrespect, and have come out on the other side stronger than ever before. Many other bands would have drifted away having to face what Enve has.
Enve has released two albums titled Incision and Manifest Destiny. Both albums were self recorded and produced in a studio in which they built and paid for. Enve consists of four members, two brothers and a father and son. The father is also the uncle of the two brothers making Enve an all family band. Enve is Anthony Macaluso bass, Robert Macaluso guitar, Kirk Romero guitar vocals, and Frankie Romero Drums.
Enve was formed in 2000 by Kirk Romero. At that time the band consisted of five members. Since their first album titled Incision was written by Kirk, the band decided to begin writing an album together. Before recording started, one of the members left the band and another shortly after the recording had started. Anthony Macaluso joined the band after the album was completed. Enve then started to book shows to promote their new album “Manifest Destiny”. Enve was then hit with yet another setback when lead guitarist John Lemos broke his arm. To avoid canceling any shows, Enve quickly moved to temporarily replace John. Robert Macaluso stepped in to replace John until his return. During John’s time away from the band, he decided to step down, making Robert’s place in the band permanent. Since then, Enve has strengthened and grown together as a band.
Lately Enve has been busy playing many shows for the Red and White poker runs held up and down the California coast line as far south as Paso Robles and throughout the bay area. They have also been writing songs for a new album they hope to have completed by early 2008.
As far as music style, Enve is a hard rock/ metal band with an excellent mix of aggressive guitar and drum driven rhythms accompanied by gritty but understandable vocals and yes, some guitar solos too. Overall, it is just a matter of time for this band to be recognized. They have matured and continue to grow into a solid band that is making great music and is a hell of a band to watch live.
