Nicole Stevens is a classically trained Mezzo-soprano with a Master of Music degree from Michigan State University. She has performed in such roles as Suzuki in Madame Butterfly, Carmen in Carmen, Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte, and more recently the role of Prince Orlofski in Die Fledermaus for the Great Lakes Lyric Opera company.
This collection of nine popular songs takes Nicole back to her roots as a Christian Contemporary singer, performing in churches across the state, as well as her early years recording professional radio jingles for organizations such as United Way.
Nicole writes these songs from her personal experiences such as her travels to Bangladesh and India in the song “Day in Dhaka”.
“The Story’s Over” is about the pain felt over a relationship ending.
“Second Chance” questions what can be forgiven?
“Thank You” is dedicated to her father who served in the Vietnam War, as well as to all veterans of war who deserve the highest level of gratitude from us all.
